Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on NXRENT or using any part of our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use NXRENT. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NXRENT.

Description of Service

NXRENT is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed for salon suite and booth rental operators. Our platform provides tools including:

  • Tenant management and onboarding
  • Billing, invoicing, and rent collection
  • Lease creation and renewal tracking
  • Maintenance request management
  • Self-service tenant portals

NXRENT is provided on an "as is" basis and we reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time.

Account Responsibilities

To use NXRENT, you must be at least 18 years of age. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

  • You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by any staff members or collaborators you authorize.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your password with others. Notify us immediately at support@nxrent.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • One account is permitted per salon business. Owners operating multiple locations may manage all locations from a single account on the Scale plan.

Email verification (salon owners)

NXRENT may require primary salon owners to confirm their email address after registration using a one-time code sent to the address on file. Until verification is complete, certain workspace features may be unavailable. Codes are time-limited; unverified accounts may be removed automatically after the period described in the product. This process helps protect accounts and reduce abuse.

Plans and Billing

  • All NXRENT subscription plans are billed on a monthly basis.
  • New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with no credit card required to start. After the trial period, a valid payment method is required to maintain access to the platform.
  • Accounts that qualified for and activated founding pricing during our early access period have their founding rate locked in for the lifetime of the account.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscribers with a minimum of 30 days’ advance notice. Existing subscribers not on founding pricing will receive the same notice before any price change takes effect.

Referral Program

NXRENT may offer a referral program from time to time. The current mechanics, including discount amounts, how subscription credit is earned and redeemed, and annual limits, are described on our referral program page. By sharing your code or signing up with a referral code, you agree to the following:

  • Referral credits and discounts are promotional benefits only. They have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and are not transferable except as the product explicitly allows.
  • You may not create fake accounts, self-refer, manipulate identities, spam recipients, or use the program in any misleading or abusive way. We may withhold or reverse credits, suspend accounts, or terminate participation if we detect abuse.
  • We may change or end the referral program, discount amounts, caps, or eligibility with reasonable notice. Credits earned before a change remain subject to the terms in effect when they were earned, unless we are required to modify them for legal or operational reasons.
  • Referral-related personal data (such as invitee email and referral status) is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

Workspace status, access, and closure

NXRENT may label a salon workspace with a standing such as active, billing hold, or suspended (including for overdue subscription payment, risk, abuse, or lawful direction). When a workspace is not fully active, certain owner, team, or renter features may be limited or unavailable, including the renter portal, until the workspace is restored to good standing.

The primary salon owner may request workspace closure from in-product settings when the workspace is active. Closure may require password confirmation, create an internal backup snapshot, deactivate owner and team access, and schedule deletion of salon data after the period shown in the product (currently 30 days). Where the product allows, the same email and password may reactivate the workspace within a shorter window (currently 7 days) after closure is requested.

NXRENT and its marketplace operators may suspend or restrict access separately from owner-initiated closure. Nothing in this section limits our rights to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use NXRENT for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms. Specifically, you may not:

  • Store data that was obtained unlawfully or without proper authorization.
  • Harass, discriminate against, or otherwise cause harm to tenants or other users through the platform.
  • Violate any applicable data privacy laws, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, or other regional regulations.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, or attempt to extract the source code of the NXRENT platform.

Tenant Data

You retain full ownership of all tenant data you input into NXRENT. We do not claim any rights to this data. You are responsible for obtaining any required consent from your tenants prior to entering their information into the platform, in accordance with applicable data privacy laws. NXRENT processes this data solely on your behalf and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

We target 99.9% platform uptime and work to minimize unplanned outages. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated to users in advance whenever possible. NXRENT is not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party providers, including hosting infrastructure, payment processors, or internet service providers. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant planned or unplanned downtime.

Termination

  • You may cancel your NXRENT subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Upon termination, workspace closure, or cancellation, your data may remain available for export or reactivation only for the periods described in our Privacy Policy and in-product notices. After those periods, data may be permanently deleted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NXRENT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the amount you paid to NXRENT in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of NXRENT shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Michigan.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, business practices, or legal requirements. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the updated terms take effect. Continued use of NXRENT after the effective date of updated terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
